Grade 5 – 2025 Summer Vacation Homework: Online Poster Report

For Students Entering Grade 6

Due Date: September 1st (First Day of School)

Presentation Format: PPT or Google Slides

Theme: “My Summer Vacation Adventure”

 

Instructions for Students and Parents:

            Over the summer break, we would like each student to create a Summer Vacation Poster Report to share with their new classmates and teacher when school resumes. This is a fun and creative way for students to reflect on their holiday experiences, practice organizing information, and work on presentation skills.

 

Poster Requirements:

 

·         Size and Format:

o   Use PPT or Google Slides

o   The poster should be colorful, neatly arranged, and easy to read

·         Content to Include:

o   Title: Write a clear title at the top of the poster

§  Example: My Fun Adventures in Japan!

o   Photos or Drawings: Add 2-4 photos that show highlights of your vacation

o   Written Report: Write about your summer in complete sentences, using your own words. Be sure to include:

§  Where you went

§  Who you were with

§  What you did (activities, food, weather, fun moments, etc.)

§  How you felt (excited, surprised, happy, tired, etc.)

o   Fun Fact or Favorite Memory: Share a special or funny moment from your trip

o   Sentence Requirement: 6-10 sentences about your summer

o   Name and Class: Make sure that your name and class are included on the poster

o   Please email it to your Foreign Homeroom Teacher by the first day of the new semester, September 1st, 2025.

·         Language:

o   The poster must be written in English

o   Spelling, punctuation, and grammar should be carefully checked

·         Learning Objectives

o   Practice English writing and sentence construction

o   Reflect on personal experiences

o   Organize ideas visually

o   Build confidence in sharing stories with classmates
